Situated in a region known as Saanenland, Gstaad is a typical Swiss alpine village. Famous for its luxury hotels, its great shopping , and of course the stars who have chosen this mountain resort as their home, this small village of 2500 inhabitants situated at 1050m altitude is also a world renowned site for ballooning. For over 30 years the inhabitants of Saanenland have become used to seeing balloons in their sky, our pilots are no strangers to this region, having flown here for over 20 years. When you take off in one of our balloons, you will discover mountain landscapes that will leave you breathless, and in the valleys typical villages of chalets only to be found in Switzerland.

Winter Activities.
Gstaad Mountain Rides is the name given to the winter sports domain where you can ski, snowboard, and have fun in the snow up to an altitude of 3000m above sea level. 62 lifts serving 250km of pistes, as well as sledge runs, snow parks and panoramic hiking trails. Plenty to do after or before your balloon flight!

Summer Activities
The landscape of Saanenland is vast and very varied offering an amazing choice of sports and activities. There are over 300 km of hiking trails, mountain biking, parasailing, or golf to name but a few. You could try taming the waters of the river Saane in a kayak, or do a bit of cross country skiing on the domain of « Glacier 3000 », or perhaps the luge run in Schönried or take in the beauty of the Natural reserve of Lake Lauenen.
